Bristol Drum & Bass Mix

The sheer volume and variety of releases Roni Size, Krust and DJ Die did back in the 1990s was staggering. More importantly, it was also massively influential: They moved effortlessly between lighter melodic productions and heavy tear out tracks, but there was always a common thread, whether they were working individually or collectively. Many of these tracks are great examples of just how much you can do with not much more than some drums and a bassline. So what we have here are two mixes taking you back to your roots. It is a massive challenge trying to pick from so many wicked tunes... so the track list is simply a mixed bag of tunes that bring back great memories of Jenkins Lane and all of the Raindance tours that I was involved in through the early years.

According to his management, “he got into the studio and found some old records, and got inspired to do an all ’90s mix. It’s all pre-94 hardcore/jungle. 75% of the tunes are his”.
