Vaccine is the production alias of Christine Clements. Having been involved with the promotions end of the industrial rock and IDM music scenes since she was a teenager, and running drum & bass and dubstep record labels with her husband, ASC, writing her own music - after she'd been promoting other people's for years - was a logical progression.
Never one to be confined by formulas or tempo, her productions are deep, beautiful and melodic. Check the following out to see what I mean:
A recent mix I did for the excellent Kongkretebass people, really pleased with how it turned out. Deep, smooth future drum and bass vibes packed with exclusives, head to the Kongkretebass+Kongkast web page and get downloading!
Back in the freestyling days of the late 1990s, The Psychonauts were a god send to the ear drums. They made their reputation as DJs - playing everything from DJ Shadow to ... erm... Hall & Oates - but this sealed them a deal with James Lavelle’s Mo’Wax. This mix from 1996 chronicles those exciting times.
Composed of SP:MC, Jubei and Dakuan, Code 3 have carved a formidable reputation for themselves already. Having been friends for around a decade and half, Code 3 saw their first release, Payload drop on Phobia's label, Coded Music, last year. Since then, the trio have seen their work featured on dBridge & Instra:mental's recent Autonomic fabriclive 50 mix and have received the widespread support of many of the scene's key players.

The eruption of a volcano beneath Iceland's Eyjafjallajokull has resulted in dangerous amounts of volcanic ash in the sky, huge headaches for travelers, and, it should be stated, unexpected beauty.
Flickr members have captured a slew of photos of the ash and the resulting chaos... check them pictures out HERE.
Born and raised in France, Kevorkian's passion for music led to playing the drums during his teen years to one of the most prolific producers in electronic music. As a DJ, he takes the listener on a grand tour of the types of electronic music sounds he has been championing of late, from Electro and Minimal to 'big-room' House and Techno. This is a gem, enjoy.
Not exactly new but anyone who knows me know I have a lot of love for these guys. The duo of Al Bleek and Kid Drama, Instra:mental, had their debut in the London drum & bass scene way back in the year 2000. After a break they really hit their stride with releases on Soul:r and Darkestral. Since then they've been steadily building momentum with a number of influential singles across labels such as dBridge's Exit and Naked Lunch and developing a sound uniquely their own. From their south London studio, 'The Zoo', they've been rewriting the template of what drum'n'bass can be, crossing over into dubstep and decreasing the bpm whenever they feel like it. All along there's been a steady flow of collaborators, from No-U Turn legend Nico to the likes of Skream, Burial and longtime mate dBridge. Most recently the duo has been creating waves with their halfstep robo ballad "Watching You". They've also been awarded as "best breakthrough producers" by DJ Mag and while their monthly Autonomic podcast has been gaining a massive following, showcasting fresh tracks alongside classics from Minneapolis to Detroit and back to London. And with a debut album and a Fabriclive session looming on the horizon the future looks bright for Instra:mental.

If the name A Guy Called Gerald doesn't mean anything to you, you ought to be ashamed of yourself. He's a true pioneer of the acid house/jungle/drum & bass genres and continues to push boundaries music wise. Gerald was also responsible for 1995's gloriously knotted, soulful and uniquely psychedelic Black Secret Technology, arguably the finest jungle LP ever made.
While many producers of the same vintage have settled for a life of creative water-treading, stuck-in-a-timewarp DJ sets and dodgy film cameos, Gerald has really kept his end up, and then some.

Episode 0/2 - Featuring Shellsuit and Christen Danse
Buckle up! Up first on this month's episode, is a tasty brew from our guest Shellsuit, which is then followed by a hyped CD danse out.
"Shellsuit is a music fiend most commonly heard playing funk, soul and old school hip hop at Pushin’On, a monthly night in Singapore he runs together with DJ Chunk and MC Masterpiece. This short mix was done for fun to piece together some familiar tracks from the mid 80’s to early 90’s."
You know it's all about that fnukd up ting. Serious.

DJ Storm rose to fame in the 90s DJing alongside her best friend Kemistry. Over ten years have passed since Kemistry's tragic death and Storm still feels the loss, but what they shared, more than anything else, was an undeniable passion for drum & bass and this has kept her going. Storm has since become known as the first lady of drum & bass and remains as popular as ever at clubs worldwide.

Zul (Subvert HQ, Singapore) has been DJing and promoting parties in the Lion City since the 1990s, performing along side the likes of dBridge, DJ Friction, Joe Syntax, Stamina MC, John B, A-Sides, Pendulum, Cyantific, Sonic, London Elektricity as well as Logistics and Hospital Records' Chris Goss. Gigs-wise, its gone from Hong Kong (he spent time with the White Label crew in 2001), Jakarta to London (playing at the legendary Hospitality parties in Shoreditch, UK) with bits of radio (MediaCorp Radio's Lush 99.5FM Clubscape sessions, to be exact) and a release on Take Off Records squeezed in between.
When not busy with his day job as a journalist in Singapore, Zul also keeps it cutting edge away from the dance floor with the Subvert Sessions Podcast (download via subverthq.blogspot.sg), blending together leftfield and idiosyncratic beats of the 170bpm variety.
